Celebrating Failure

A time where I failed this semester was actually attempting to launch my website called Progress. Originally I planned on connecting with other people via Sitey, and the launch of the website, with the first article already published. However, shortly after a lot of users were complaining regarding difficulties with seeing the website and constantly getting “404 error: page not found.” As someone who prides themselves on trying to make the inroads necessary to make systemic reforms in society, I was embarrassed for myself because I worked hard to get the website to be functional. The wavering in functionality persisted (partially because I let it) for a month and a half, including when the second article was released. Eventually I became fed up with the progress that Progress was making on Sitey, so I decided to rebuild a brand new website on Wix. The launch was a lot more successful on Wix, as the website functions well, and the potential for growth on Wix is very high.

  1. Oliver!
Thank you for sharing your moment. Really, sitey.com failed you. Since they failed you, it seems like it spread. They made you fail your customer base. I’m really glad you kept trying to build your website. I bet it was frustrating at first. However, you made it work. Not giving up is what counts. It looks really great on Wix. I didn’t have that big of a project on my hands. I separated my failures this past semester in a home, work, school list. You should check it out on my blog at: http://entuf.blogspot.com/2016/04/celebrating-failure.html

  2. Hello Oliver, It is very cool that you have a website up and running. Reading about your experience is influential. If I need to do anything similar in the future I'll imitate your success and start right away with Wix. My failure had more to do with a work related incident. Feel free to read about it if you get the time.
